Elementary Math with Hugo C.

I am an engineer working for the U.S. Air Force. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a master’s degree in aerospace engineering. Because of my engineering background, I have been exposed to many difficult math and science courses. I understand the frustration students often face when the instructors make assumptions, therefore my teaching style is to build the students from ground-up, and gauge the current level of where they are. I started tutoring as a high school student for the math club because I really enjoyed helping others, and continued tutoring throughout my college study. During my graduate study, I had the opportunity of experiencing something different; I was offered an opportunity to teach an introductory programming course for incoming freshmen. Although it was not math related, teaching in a group setting opened my eyes and honed my skills as an individual tutor. I look forward to meeting you and helping you improve your math skills!
