I am a former educator who now trains other teachers to use strategies and techniques that help children with special needs to succeed in the classroom. I taught for 14 years in elementary, middle and high school. I also worked with adult learners at Sylvan Learning Center for 4 years. My students liked me as a teacher because I make learning fun. I also make it make sense! I don't give busy work and I won't give you anything too hard. I will be there every step of the way. My students also liked me because I listened to them. They knew that I wanted to help them to be successful in more than just english and math, but also in life. I care about who they are as people, not just what they score on a test. In my classroom, you will lead the learning. I am simply your guide to keep you progressing. I let you go at your own pace, but provide you with enough challenge to keep you motivated. Each week, you will be amazed at how much you have learned to do on your own. Expert Learning is the goal. I work with all types of students. No student is too hard. I am certified in English 7-12, Elementary K-6, and SpEd Mild/Mod. I also have a disability myself, so I can relate to learning challenges associated with having a disability.
