Trumpet with Hong Y.

I am an active trumpet performer, conductor, clinician, and educator in the North America and Asia. He earned a Master of Music degree at the University of Arizona, and Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I also received a full scholarship to complete his first year of Doctorate of Musical Arts degree. My experiences as a music educator span all ages and ensemble types, including private lessons and concert bands from public school through university levels. I was a band director at Sidney High School where he taught concert band. Under his baton, the concert band won first place at the Nebraska School District Music Contest in 2017 and 2018. As a performer and clinician, I was invited to perform at many music festival including World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) conference, WMC Kerkrade, and Jeju International Wind Festival. He has ever conducted the Emory Wind Ensemble, Atlanta Youth Symphonic Winds, Eastern Music Festival Chamber Winds, Hong Kong Young Musicians’ Wind Orchestra, Metropolitan Atlanta Youth Wind Ensemble, and Missouri State University Community Band. Hong also organized the first Inaugural Hong Kong International Wind Conducting Workshop and served as a clinician. Hong is a honorary member of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma, the national fraternity and sorority for college and university band members in the United States.
