I can help students become more familiar with organ technique, as well as basics, switching from piano to organ. Piano and organ are not as similar as people think. Organ is a fascinating instrument and you will learn how to play hymns for a church setting, as well as be familiar with liturgy.

I have been playing piano for 15 years, and taught two students while I was still in high school. I took a break from teaching for a few years, but recently started teaching again, while finishing up college. I am introverted, but I bond well with kids and will treat them well. I also offer flute, guitar, and organ lessons as just a few I offer.
I give in person and online lessons.

As I am an older adult piano student with many years of experience playing organ and digital keyboard, including publicly and for hire, I was uncertain which way to go when I decided to add piano (and ultimately jazz piano) to my repertoire.  After considering a number of options (online teaching programs, books, YouTube videos, and various instructors), I decided to employ Holly's vast musical expertise.  I was impressed that she had a proposed lesson plan right off the bat, and she convinced me that starting with classical music may be the way to morph my way into jazz piano.  I knew as a fact that many jazz musicians had their start that way.  Holly has been very patient with my learning the whole new way of playing that a piano entails (no more relying on the built-in bells and whistles of an arranger keyboard).  I would recommend Holly for adult students as well as children.  She knows her stuff.  And if she gets mad if I don't play something right the first time, she sure doesn't show it (mainly because she DOESN'T get mad at all).  But my biggest recommendation comes that she is darn passionate about what she does.

Holly is an incredible pianist and teacher.  Always patient and understanding.  She always has the answer to questions I have and can explain it clearly.  I would recommend Holly to anyone looking to learn piano the correct way.
