Composition with Hlib B.

Hello. My name is Hlib Baisha. I am a composer and jazz guitarist currently living in Maastricht, Netherlands (originally, I am from Ukraine). For three last years, I have been studying at Maastricht Conservatorium, majoring at two subjects simultaneously: “Composition & Arranging” with Wolfgang Braun and “Jazz Guitar” with Jan Formannoy and Joachim Schoenecker. During my time as a student, my compositions were performed by various bands and musicians, including Amsterdam Concergebouw Jazz Orchestra. I have played with Jesse van Ruller, Peter Bernstain, Gilad Hekselman and Kurt Rosenwinkel at their workshops. At different venues, I have performed as a solo guitar player, a band player, and a band leader. I have written film scores for "In de Mond van Waanzin" a movie directed by a Belgium filmmaker Cedric Ceglowski and "Layer by Layer," a movie by a director from Netherland. I have had several students whom I have been teaching guitar and composition/arranging at different levels and in different styles. Whether writing music scores, performing as a guitar player, or teaching students, I am always looking for the best results, and it is always fun for me to have an ongoing discussion with my partners, clients, or disciples about the outcome of our collaborative work.
