I have a very diverse background in music. I am classically trained, having sung art song and over 9 full opera roles, throughout the US, Canada, and Italy. Along with this, I have directed a cappella groups, and have coached singers in various contemporary styles, from pop to country. I have also directed church choirs and served as cantor for Catholic masses. I am proficient in piano and guitar, and write folk/country music on the side. I draw on ALL of these experiences in every lesson, and use a personalized approach for each individual student. Every singer is unique, and deserves lessons that are structured to best suit their personality, in order to have the most productive and rewarding musical experience.

My approach to teaching is not what you might be used to. I consider each student to be unique in terms of voice and personality. I want to know how a student learns best and what they want to achieve, so I can conform my teaching to best suit their needs. Whether you want to sing opera, rock, pop, country, musical theater, or you just want to be more confident with speaking, I can help!
