Cello with Henry C.

I'm a professional cellist and currently working on my doctorate degree at Northwestern University. I believe learning cello should be fun and rewarding and it's something that you love. I've been teaching assistant to professor Hans Jensen here at Northwestern University the past two years and also had served as TA at Meadowmount School of Music before. I was born in Taiwan, and began my musical studies at the age of 13. Since then, I has received numerous awards and recognitions both locally and nationally including the 1st Prize in the 2017 Arnuero International Chamber Music Competition, 1st prize in the 2013 Eastman School Concerto Competition, 1st Prize in the 2013 American Protege International String and Piano Competition, and 2nd Prize in the 2012 Eastern Connecticut Instrumental Competition. I participated in numerous music festivals such as the Aspen Music Festival, Beijing International Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival, ENCORE School for Strings, GAIA Masterclasses, Heifetz Institute, International Summer Campus at Royal Danish Academy of Music, Isa International Music Festival, Meadowmount School, National Arts Centre Orchestra Young Artists Program, and Sarasota Music Festival. I attended the Colburn School of Performing Arts from 2005-2009, and holds a Bachelor degree of Music from the Eastman School of Music and Master degree of Music from the Northwestern University. I am currently a candidate in Doctoral of Music Art at the Northwestern University. My primary teacher includes Hans Jensen, Steven Doane, and Ronald Leonard.
