Hello my name is Henrik! I have been playing the saxophone ever since I first picked one up in grade school. I consider myself a goofy individual who takes my instrument very seriously. I have been teaching private students for about eight years. I am currently getting my degree in Saxophone Performance from BYU. I love it when my students learn to have fun while practicing and gain confidence in performing. No matter your schedule or location, I am determined to make a difference and help people improve. I have a flexible class schedule that allows you to pick a time that works best for you.
I find it most successful to prepare a lesson for each student before hand, rather than going over the same thing with every one of them. You can expect a well rounded range of exercises and practice techniques. From motif development, tune memorization and progressive patterns, to theory studies, music analyzation and playing along with the great recordings with the pros.
My daughter felt very much at ease with Henrik and is confident that she will do well at her school auditions. Thank you Henrik.
Wow! Henrik is awesome. Anywhere from beginner to advanced, he knows exactly what to say and do to help his students progress. Very impressed.
Lessons specific to my needs. Very helpful
My 12-year old son enjoys his lessons with Henrik. He explains and teaches well. Henrik is also encouraging. My son enjoys playing saxophone in his school band more now.

Mr. Henrik is teaching my son with flexible teaching plans and he adjust the contents based on my son's progress. He also shared his tips and his understanding of music with the student and take time to listen and answer any questions my son has. We can feel the improvement after three lessons and we are looking forward to more lessons from Mr. Henrik+ Read More

I took music theory in high school and it made zero sense! After I graduated I was determined to figure it out so I went hunting for a teacher. Eventually I found Henrik and he was one of the greatest teachers ecspecially for such a hard concept. So thankful for the lessons. I highly suggest taking any of his lessons if he can teach music theory.+ Read More

Henrik is my favorite teacher ever! He is so patient with me but he pushes me to be successful. I also love that he lets me work on stuff that’s interesting to me and fun. He’s the best!
Henrik is passionate about music and especially saxophone. He has a deep understanding of music theory an advanced proficiency in saxophone. He can help you with changing your sound, vibrato, technique and even can repair them.
Henrik is an AWESOME teacher. He does a great job keeping parents informed about what’s happening, how your kid is progressing, etc. He makes it fun, but also pushes for progress and success. So great!
You can definitely see the passion he has for the saxophone. My first lesson, he asked me what my goals were, and taught me in a simple way, gauging how I was learning throughout the lesson.
Really good teacher. I recommend him.
