Broadway Singing with Helaine L.

I am a trained opera singer with 16 years of experience. I have a masters degree in performance from the Royal College of Music and a bachelors degree from Northwestern University and soon I will earn a Masters of Music there. My specialty is classical voice. I believe it is good to have a true foundation in bel canto technique. However, I am able to teach other genres - such as musical theatre and pop. I believe there is a healthy way to sing in all genres. My goal is to help my students find their voice, improve their musicality, and become an artist. I have experience with young children since i worked at a preschool day camp. I know how to make lessons both fun and engaging for them and hopefully inspire them. Biography: Helaine Liebman recently was a 2020 Wisconsin District winner of The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She also won first place in the Advanced College Classical Treble division of the Central Region NATS Student Online Auditions 2020 and first place in the 2020 IAET Joseph P. Glimco Jr. Competition. Helaine made her debut performance of Violetta in La Traviata in 2021 with La musica lirica. Her past engagements include Suor Angelica at Carnegie Hall (New York Lyric Opera Theatre), Nella in Gianni Schicchi (City Lyric Opera), Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi (Westminster Opera), Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus and Micaela in Carmen (Amore Opera). She also has performed recitals at the V&A Museum and the National Gallery Museum in London.
