Gateway to College Program

I have hands on experience in teaching mathematical concepts to young students. I have been working as a Teaching Assistant/ Math Learning Coach at the Gateway to College Program, which is a second chance opportunity for high school dropouts between the ages of 16-19 to earn a high school diploma. I have successfully developed tailoring interactions with diverse group of students recognizing students have different learning style. Plus, I have worked non-stop with students with learning disabilities; have multiple successful students now.

I have taken multiple Tutoring classes to develop the methods of effective tutoring. It helped me to improve my skills to communicate with tutees effectively. Not only that, we have covered also various questioning and modeling techniques, learning styles and strategies, study skills and strategies, leading small group sessions, cultural awareness, and tutoring in specific subject areas.
