Basic Math with Heather T.

I have been studying music for over 20 years, and have been a student basically my whole life! I have a very strong passion for education, and specifically for music! I hold a bachelor's degree in Music Education, but maintained a solid GPA during all my college coursework. I have studied woodwind instruments, specifically Oboe and Clarinet for a number of years, but have experience starting students on basically any band instrument or guitar. I also have a proven track record for my expertise with reading, writing and math, specifically for elementary and middle school students. I am currently certified as a music educator in the state of Florida, but was also previously certified as an elementary educator for grades K-6. I have taught private lessons and tutored since I was in high school, but have taught music and elementary school for a number of years as a classroom teacher. I believe that learning should be fun, pertinent, and fresh to keep a student's motivation levels high. I do whatever I can to pass on my love of learning to every student I encounter! I also have a philosophy that every student can succeed given the right support and motivation. I look forward to helping your student with their learning goals! *** Studio Equipment *** I have equipment to give lessons on oboe, guitar, clarinet, and trumpet. I have played the oboe for a number of years, as well as the clarinet, and guitar. As a music educator, I also have received enough training to start a student out on any band instrument they may need assistance with.
