I am a vocalist, guitarist, and pianist who has sung in various settings for 15 years, including recording studios. I am ProTools User certified, which has enabled me to record, produce, edit, mix and master my own works as well as the works of other artists, spanning across many genres. By 2023 I will have attained a Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry Studies at Cal Poly Pomona. I have taught voice professionally for a while now and discovered I am more passionate about it than any of my many other musical ventures so far. As a child myself, I loved singing alone but struggled with having the confidence to allow myself to be heard by others. It took only one teacher to transform my ability and character into one that allowed me to become fully enamored with sharing my gift with the world. Everyone has that gift; everyone can sing! I have set out on a mission to be for others what my childhood voice teacher was for me: a mentor, a cheerleader, an honest ear, and a meticulous cultivator of all my students' innate talent to vocalize! The voice is an extraordinary instrument; it is the only one located within us and not too terribly far from our brains. The techniques we will use to find and refine your voice addresses the connection between your mind, body, and spirit, all of which are required to deliver a killer vocal performance. We will study music theory, breathing technique, stylistic interpretation, proper use of different vocal registers, and the performance of your chosen genres in or out of a recording studio. We will go past our comfort zones and make brand new noises frequently to acquaint you with the wide range of capabilities of your voice. Most importantly, I will teach you to gain full command of your voice so that you can consistently and effortlessly produce the sound you want.
