I am a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy. I earned my Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Minnesota with Sally O’Reilly. and completed my M.M. and D.M.A. from the University of Oklahoma with Dr. Gregory Lee. While still in High School, I was the recipient of the prestigious Robert Mandura String Scholarship. In 2013 and 2014 I was a top prizewinner of the University of Oklahoma Concerto Competition and in 2011 I won third prize in the CICA International Concerto Competition. I am a certified Suzuki Method violin teacher and was a Master Teaching Artist with the Harmony Project of Tulsa for two years. I am the former Instructor of Violin and Viola, String Chamber Music, and Education at Oklahoma Baptist University and Mid-America Christian University. As an Instructor with the Sooner Strings preparatory program at the University of Oklahoma, my students found success as concerto competition, fiddle, and talent show winners, and as section leaders of youth orchestras across Oklahoma and Texas. I am the Associate Principal Second of the Tulsa Symphony and Tulsa Ballet and served as the Associate Concertmaster of the Signature Symphony for two orchestra seasons. I have recorded, performed and toured with a variety of different performers including 2cellos, Michael Bublé, Amy Grant, A Whisper in the Noise, and WIVE.
