Hi! I have been teaching music since 2012 in a wide variety of settings, including independently from my home, privately in a music school, and in a classroom setting. It is of utmost importance to me to ensure that I create individualized lessons that meet the needs of each student, as I am aware that everyone learns differently. I want to help you meet your musical goals, and have fun in the process!

Hannah L is a New York City based clarinetist and educator.
She taught her first clarinet student at a very young age, and realized her passion for teaching music as she watched her student go from playing his first notes to making the all-district band within the first year. She has since worked with many students of all ages and ability levels, and enjoys creating individualized lessons that cater to the needs of each student. She has taught both independently and on the faculty of Anderson Music Workshop in Cincinnati, where she held the position of Instructor of Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute, and Beginner Piano.
A founding member of three clarinet ensembles, The BATH Quartet, Trio Confiant, and The Blue Ridge Clarinet Collective, Hannah has a passion for performing and collaborating with other musicians. In Spring 2016, she traveled to Port of Spain, Trinidad with members of the Virginia Tech Clarinet Studio to perform concerts with an emphasis on electronic music in collaboration with the clarinet studio at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. A personal highlight of hers was performing on the Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall as a member of the VT Wind Ensemble.
Hannah received her Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in May 2019. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Clarinet Performance and Music Education from Virginia Tech. She has studied with Ronald Aufmann of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Dr. Phillip Paglialonga, and Thomas Crawford.
The International Clarinet Association is a community of clarinetists and clarinet enthusiasts that supports projects that will benefit clarinet performance; provides opportunities for the exchange of ideas, materials, and information among its members; fosters the composition, publication, recording, and distribution of music for the clarinet; encourages the research and manufacture of a more definitive clarinet; avoids commercialism in any form while encouraging communication and cooperation among clarinetists and the music industry; and encourages and promotes the performance and teaching of a wide variety of repertoire for the clarinet.Show More
