Hi, my name is Hannah, I'm 20 years old, and I'm so excited for this opportunity. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance and have studied with several notable teachers such as Sally Thomas (Juilliard), Kikuei Ikeda (Tokyo String Quartet), Laura Bossert (Syracuse U and Boston Conservatory), Charlie Castleman (Eastman and Frost School of Music), Stephanie Chase (NYU), and more. I have attended programs such as the Castleman Quartet Program and Meadowmount School of Music. I work freelance as a performer and plan to pursue a Master's degree in music as well.
I recently have moved from New York City to the Bay Area, and I'm looking to create a studio.
As a musician, I care so deeply about the beauty and expressive capability of music over virtuosic playing. I believe strongly that a teacher's job is to be sensitive to the individual's needs and to give him or her the tools to flourish. I am encouraging and supportive - I do not utilize negative reinforcement. I have had plenty of my own tension and playing injuries, so it is one of my main goals to help new players avoid those issues.
Classical music is my passion and I would be so thrilled to share my experience with you.
