My name is Anya, and I am a Russian teacher. I am a native speaker. I came to United States several years ago, and I got my bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska.
Being exposed to Russian culture, traditions, and literature since I was born, I am fascinated by people who are willing to put their time and effort in learning this great language.
I have been teaching Russian for a few years, and majority of my classes are based on learning basic communication, grammar, and reading through the use of one-on-one conversations and interactive exercises. You will learn vocabulary and proper pronunciation/spelling.
You should not be afraid of making mistakes at the beginning! You will improve your communication/writing/reading skills much quicker if you get comfortable making them.
I have always had passion for learning different languages, and will be happy to share that passion with you!
Anya is a amazing teacher! I have been struggling with this language before I started learning Russian with her and since then my path in learning has been smooth and productive! I highly recommend this teacher and can guarantee that you will love working with her!+ Read More

Anya is an amazing instructor. I have never learned another language before and she was willing to take the time to help me learn. I highly recommend taking her!
Russian is a tough language but thanks to Anya I learned a lot. She is a great tutor, she's patient, and makes the lessons really fun. Definitely recommend her as an instructor to learn about this language!
Anya is an AMAZING instructor, and person in general. I speak several languages, and Russian is by far the hardest. It would have been quite impossible to try and learn the language on my own. However, I was lucky enough to have the help of Anya, whose native language is Russian. Additionally, she knows first-hand how immersion is the only way to truly learn a language, and she had such a talent for conveying the information in a way I could easily understand. I believe this to be one of her greatest attributes regarding teaching. Russian has so many grammatical rules and nuances not found in the English language. Anya, having learned English through her own immersion experience in America, knows exactly how to teach the material in a way most others could not. Before Anya, I had tried to learn Russian on my own, and I didn't do so well after the beginning stages. However, I can honestly say that with Anya's help I can actually converse in Russian; so much so, in fact, that I earned the opportunity to work in Russia, and I am now working in the city of Kazan, a site for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, where I will have the opportunity to work with English-Russian translations. A large part of this opportunity, I have Anya to thank for!+ Read More
