    About Haley S.

Hey there! I’m Haley. Growing up, I begged my parents to let me take piano lessons, which they agreed to once I turned six. Then I begged to play violin, and then the flute, mandolin, guitar, harp, and viola. They just started shaking their heads. My parents were the ones who pushed me through the years where I wanted to quit, while always encouraging me to keep pressing on. I know that where I am at today is largely due to their support and encouragement for so many years. I took private lessons from the time I was six until I was 21, and participated for a number of years in community orchestras and ensembles, including Mid-City Strings, Flower Mound Community Orchestra, and His Strings. During this time my siblings and I would spend hours a week playing bluegrass music together, until my parents had the amazing idea that we should produce a CD. So then we spent hours in the recording studio producing our mid-teen crisis, and having a blast while we were at it. After graduating high school, I really wanted there to be a resource available with simple, but beautiful piano hymn arrangements. So, I along, with my friend Grace, arranged a simplified songbook for the Let My Life Be A Light songbook (Simplified Piano Arrangements). Following this endeavor I decided to pursue my credentials through the MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) Professional Certification program, and this was completed in January of 2017. Aside from teaching, I am also involved with Bright Lights Ministries , as well as studying Computer Science. It’s a pretty exciting ride, but I wouldn’t change it for anything!
