About Haley F.
Haley is a performer and voice teacher based in Charleston, Illinois where she’s an active member of the music community. Since 2015, she’s found great joy in working with young singers and pianists in Coles County.
Haley loved her time at Eastern Illinois University where she received both a BM and MM in Voice Performance studying with Dr. Marilyn Joy Coles, Professor Andrea Pope, and Dr. Rebecca von Kamp. Some of the highlights of her time there include performing as Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi, singing soprano solos in Poulenc’s Requiem and Vivaldi’s Gloria, and performing “Glitter and Be Gay” and “Adele’s Laughing Aria” with the Eastern Symphony Orchestra as a result of winning EIU’s concerto competition twice.
Some of her favorite roles have been Lily in The Secret Garden directed by Larry Cox Jr., Edith in The Pirates of Penzance with the Midwest Institute of Opera, and Sophie Sheridan in Mamma Mia! with the Central Illinois Stage Company.
