As a classically trained vocalist with undergraduate and masters degrees in vocal performance, I have well grounded classical training and am well-acquainted with classical repertoire. I hope to create well-rounded musicians who, in addition to being great singers, have knowledge in music theory and general musicianship. My skills in acting and musical theatre help to enhance my knowledge of opera and ability to help a student dive further into character study and singing more expressively!

I'm a voice and piano teacher based in Charleston, Illinois but I'm surprised all the time by how quickly my students have taken to online lessons!

During my time at EIU I studied a lot of opera, classical music, and musical theater, but I also find great joy in contemporary musical theater and popular music and exploring these styles. I've worked with students on art songs, musical theater repertoire, and even their own original rock songs!

My goal is always to help you sing the music you love the most in a healthy and sustainable way.
