As someone who wasn't able to take Mandarin at my university, it was wonderful to be able to maintain and especially improve my improvisational speaking skills with HaiBo. It's so wonderful to talk about current events and learn relevant vocabulary. I feel that I'm getting more use out of her lessons compared to a traditional class!

HaiBo does a great job pushing me to learn as much as I can, but will take the time to slow down when necessary. She is a great teacher and also very kind and understanding and is willing to work with my schedule. I highly recommend.

Our 13-year-old twin girls have each had 10 lessons from HaiBo.  They absolutely love her and their Mandarin lessons! Our girls are at two different levels and desires --   HaiBo is incredible with each of them.  We just signed up for indefinite revolving lessons.  We highly recommend HaiBo!

Miss HaiBo was extremely patient and understanding.  We got to know a little about each other to establish rapport then she evaluated my current knowledge of Mandarin (very little) and then started working with me on a plan to move forward.  We covered key areas including tones, the alphabet,  and numbers - all in the first lesson!

Miss HaiBo followed up or lesson immediately with additional resources she prepared and suggested homework. It was truly a pleasure to meet and work with Miss HaiBo. I am looking forward to next week's lesson already.

HaiBo is a great teacher I have ever met. She was very responsive. She answered to all of my questions even when offline. She will listen to you and customize the lessons to your needs. I would give her 10 stars if I have the option! :))

HaiBo is very patient!  I have been studying Chinese on my own for quite a while, but definitely need help with tones.  She goes over and over them with me until she feels I've done them right!  She is kind enough to put reviews of words, sentences, phrases in the form of flashcards on an app so I can review them over the course of the week.  We have needed to reschedule several times and she has been flexible enough to do that for me, too!  I have reviewed stuff I thought I knew and have learned new vocab, but most importantly, we have USED that vocab in sentences and I feel like I'm actually improving my spoken Chinese!  In addition, I have been working on learning characters with HaiBo and I am surprised how many I know!

It was a very good 1st lesson.  I would give it 5 stars.  This rating is for this lesson only. I am not saying she is the best instructor ever.   As we proceed with lessons I will make further evaluations from time to time; not after each lesson.  Garrett
