Vietnamese with Ha N.

My first student was an English woman, who came to Hochiminh city to work, in 2007. She introuced me to her friends, and we enjoyed the classes until I left the country in 2009. Yet teaching was not my main job at the time: I worked as a full-time translator, concurrently an editor, for a book company. I was born and grew up in Saigon, a great city which used to be the capital of South Vietnam before 1975. My parents came from a big city in the North. Therefore my accent is kind of "well-selected" from both regions, which is very helpful if you-the-learner is planning to travel to Vietnam, either for a long vacation, or for work. I just left Vietnam seven years ago, and still have been keeping myself busy with translation works. My Vietnamese language is still "fresh" and updated, even with slang! My teaching skills are enriched by working for Rosetta Stones and Berlitz-two big names in language teaching field. I look forward to having fun and effective classes with you!
