Hi, future students. Thanks for checking out my profile! I am a classically trained singer and will share with you the best techniques and exercises available to help you sing comfortably and freely, and more importantly, to have fun! I have two Masters Degrees, one of from the New England Conservatory and have taught voice for over 16 years. My teaching environment is safe, supportive and geared to helping you learn complete breathing, proper placement of the voice, ear training and dramatic interpretation. I continue to train and perform myself so I am always learning new things to bring to our lessons and keep sessions fresh. *** Lesson Details *** We'll start off with basic exercises in complete breathing, proper placement of the voice, ear training and dramatic interpretation to lay a solid foundation for your vocal technique. The last part of our session will apply concepts we learned in the exercise portion to actual music that you are interested in learning and performing. After several months, your range will begin to increase, you'll be able to learn music faster and more precisely, your singing will be more comfortable and you'll be able to develop your dramatic interpretations of the songs. *** Studio Equipment *** Piano in private studio with mirror and wood surfaces. *** Travel Equipment *** I do not provide equipment. Student would need to provide sheet music that they would like to work on. Also recommended is a recording device to record your lessons. *** Specialties *** The main focus is on healthy and expressive singing so you can feel confident on a stage or church choir or singing for friends in your home. These lessons are about singing more easily, having fun and feeling empowered! This foundation will pave the way for you to sing anywhere: in music theater, cabaret, opera and other genres of singing.
