I'm in my 11th year of teaching history and started in Special Education. Because of my early foundation in Special Education I specialize in not only teaching but helping identify opportunities to improve your chances of succeeding in school.  As I teach about history, I also provide study skills and test taking strategies, as well.

I'm a husband, dad, teacher, and coach who loves what he does! I graduated from the University of Houston where I majored in Political Science and minored in Psychology. I also played soccer collegiately and understand the challenges student athletes face.

I get so much satisfaction when I can help my students achieve a breakthrough and see them succeed. I've taught US History, World History, Government, and Special Education to all grades from 6th-12th and am passionate about all of it. I hope to be a good match for you and help you succeed in history and as a student!

Mr Guy is a super talented and passionate teacher, he will never give up on the student until success, by success I mean 95s and above. History can be a hard class as there is a lot of timelines and events that have happened, especially world history. After having him as a teacher I have never stopped thinking about the timelines and the events, and the best part of Guy as a teacher, he will make sure that you understand both sides of the story, such as from an American side, and German side. This opens my mind up to an international viewpoint, and I have been able to have conversations with historians about for example WW2 and I have managed to surprise them with my knowledge, only because of Mr Guy.
Never have I ever met such a passionate teacher in my entire life, and I would even want him to private tutor me if I was still taking History.
