My name is Gretchen. I am a classically trained soprano. I have been singing for over 25 years. I hold a B.A. in Music from Keene State College. The way I have succeeded in lessons and my teaching philosophy is a holistic method. We set your goals as a singer, work on warms ups and technique, we discuss the anatomy, sing your songs, get into character. I sing a few different styles so I think I am versatile in my approach and what I have been trained for. My best areas are popular, jazz, musical theatre, and classical (religious, opera, and art songs). I also believe singing is personal and that our voices and art should be nurtured. I look forward to speaking with you to see if it is a good fit. I not only teach voice lessons but also music theory, life coaching for musicians, host corporate/team building workshops, nursing home programs, sing-a-longs, music healing, and traditional performances.
