Hi, I'm Grant! I started teaching guitar in 2002, and I've studied with award-winning guitarists Chas Evans, Matt Warnock, and Grant Green, Jr. I studied music theory at the University of Southern Mississippi, where I earned a BS in chemistry and a BA in psychology, with a minor in biology, Summa Cum Laude. My unique educational background directly benefits you as a guitarist. Over the years, I’ve discovered that the guitar is a laboratory: the best way to learn is by experimentation. The scientific method is a great model for this! Experimentation involves asking questions, making predictions, and building on the results of those predictions to refine understanding and make new hypotheses and new predictions.
