I am professional touring bassist with performances in several countries. I've been teaching privately for 7 years and my teaching style was developed and honed by my father Jim Stinnett (Professor at Berklee Collage of Music, and author of the world famous Music of Paul Chambers series) My teaching is world class, and the methodology I use (originally pioneered by Jim Stinnett) has been developed over the last 40 years to be the most effective bass education available in the world. I also offer a wide variety of complimentary downloadable video lessons, and prerecorded play-alongs, so your practice time can be as effective as possible, and in turn make, you a great musician in half the time it takes conventional students with conventional teachers.

Tremendous success with Grant! In fact, it's because of the techniques and pieces he helped learn that I won 2nd place at a Bass Solo competition!
The techniques and pieces he helped learn that I won 2nd place at a Bass Solo competition sponsored by Ampeg, DR Strings, Pedulla and D'Adario in Boston just this past Friday! The sponsor gave me a bunch bass strings and shirts and also a brand spanking new amp to take home! So thank you very much Grant showing me how to sound like a professional on stage!
I feel like one of the coolest parts is that every single note I played was part of a song or etude that he had me work on extensively over the past few years. I just simply made an arrangement out them.
I love it because to me it's hard evidence that consistent planned practice truly is the key to success! I keep saying to myself, "How wrong was I years ago when I used to think that these things relied so much on luck". As it turns out, we have a lot of control over our 'luck' when we have a seasoned professional to help us plan ahead!
