Hi, I'm 48 years old and started playing guitar when I was 14. I've had the opportunity to open up for Kenny Chesney at the gorge in George Wa and extensive radio airplay at KEXP in Seattle Wa. I've headlined the Crocodile Cafe on a Saturday night and played with many bands ranging from alt country to metal. I've played guitar with Jeff Loomis of Nevermore / Arch Enemy and have learned a great deal in the shred guitar genre. I'm very laid back and an easy person to learn from. Here's your first tip in playing fast: economy picking. I can help you with alternate and economy picking techniques, scales, modes, when to play them and how to choose what key to play them in. I can teach you arpeggio sweeps and string tapping arpeggios as well. Lets' get you up to speed! If you just want to learn the basics like chords, tuning, strumming, songwriting theory etc, that's fine also. All ages, styles and levels are welcome.
