An experienced, patient, sweet and funny Mandarin Chinese tutor to all levels and ages, I have been teaching and tutoring this language over 10 years. I am originally from China, a native Mandarin Chinese speaker with a master degree. I can help students from primary to college improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing ability, and achieve a high score in their final Chinese test. I can help students prepare for the AP Chinese Language and Culture Exam. I can help worked people have a good understanding of this language. Content: I will follow a textbook to teach students. In this class, I can add songs, dances, and games to make this lesson interesting and easy. Detailed explanations, ample examples, plenty of speaking practices are offered. B. Bonus: child who is under grade 1 can get free learning materials. For other students, homework is given and checked. Book's CD will be used to improve student's listening ability. Quizzes or tests are given for free if student wants. C. Price: basic price on the profile. 2. Mandarin Chinese for high school, college, and adult students of beginner level A. Content: Usually, I like to use Integrated Chinese level 1 or New Practical Chinese Reader 1-4 to teach this age group. It includes the introduction of Chinese pronunciation and writing system, and daily common topics such as greetings, family, dates and time, hobbies, visiting friends, making appointments, shopping, transportation,---. Conversational Chinese of beginner level A. Content: this course is designed for adult students who want to speak this language and master abundant vocabulary in a short time. It is about 30-50 hours. It includes phonetic training and 12 units of most practical communication tasks to meet the basic requirements of the student’s daily life in China, such as greetings, time, shopping, dining out, work, direction, weather, etc. B. Bonus: workbook answers can be given if student wants to do the workbook. C. Price: basic price on the profile. 4. Business Chinese of beginner level A. Content: This course is to teach Chinese for international business. It begins from business greetings and introduction, to business trips, negotiations, interactions, transactions, etc...In detail, it includes business forms of address, name cards, business career, business visit, business arrangement, trade fair, transaction negotiation, marketing products and promoting cooperation, placing an order, etc...It will offer plentiful knowledge of Chinese business convention, culture, etiquette, background, knowledge. In addition, this class provides a good foundation of pronunciation and grammar, and a large number of phonological Pinyin exercises. After this class, students are expected to be able to deal with common business communication with native speakers. B. Bonus: communicative speech drills and task-based speech and discussion topics. Content: Depending on your particular learning goals, I can tailor the lesson content to suit your needs and expectations, such as Chinese for Traveling in China, Chinese for Studying in China, Chinese for Official Communications and so on. B. Price: $10/hour plus the basic price on the profile. 6. Pinyin introduction A. Content: This is a 2-3 hour lesson to introduce Chinese pronunciation system of Pinyin. It is designed for beginners. Students will learn how to pronounce initials, finals, compound finals, and tones. B. Price: basic price on the profile. 7. How to write Characters A. Content: This is a 2-3 hour lesson to introduce Chinese writing system of Characters ( hàn zì). It is designed for beginners. Students will learn the formation of Chinese characters, basic Chinese radicals, basic strokes, stroke order and practice writing some common words. B. Price: basic price on the profile. II. Intermediate level 8. Mandarin Chinese for high school, college, adult students of intermediate level A. Usually, I like to use Integrated Chinese level 2 or New Practical Chinese Reader 5-6 to teach this age group. It includes school beginning, dormitory, at restaurant, shopping, choosing curriculum, boyfriend and girlfriend, computer and internet, work part time, education, Chinese geography, etc. B. C. price: $10/hour plus the basic price on the profile. 9. Conversational Chinese of intermediate level A. Content: this course is designed for adult students who already can speak some Chinese but still want to improve their conversational ability in a short time. It is about 50-80 hours. It includes sports, pastime, travel, work, party, repair electrical equipment, etc. B. bonus: workbook answers can be given if student wants to do the workbook. C. price: $10/hour plus the basic price on the profile. 10. Business Chinese of intermediate level A. Content: In this course, basic economic theories and case studies will be two of the focuses. In addition, practical skills will be introduced and explained, such as labor contract, business negotiation, setting up a company in China etc...This business class helps you to have a good skill/ability to travel/live/find a job in China. Students can get abundant knowledge on many topics such as China's economic, legal, culture, transportation, family, work, and environment, etc...And students have lots of chances to practice their listening, speaking, reading and writing ability. After this class, you can communicate with Chinese easily. B. Price: $25/hour plus the basic price on the profile. III. Advanced level 11. Mandarin Chinese of advanced level 1) This lesson is offered to those who passed the intermediate level, and want to continue improving their language ability. B. price: $20/hour plus the basic price on the profile. 12. Business Chinese of advanced level A. Content: For advanced level students, Business class enables you to focus on your own field, such as MBA, Marketing, and Venture Investment, etc. Students can master Chinese. Students can learn advanced vocabulary and grammar. After this course, students can communicate with native Chinese in formal or informal situation and can read Chinese newspapers, understand TVs and movies, and can write letters in Chinese. B.
