Giustino C., conductor and baritone, is a musician with tenacity and passion. As an avid performer, vocal coach, and conductor he has enjoyed a musical career on multiple continents. His recent engagements include the role of Marcello in La Bohemé, and El Dancaïro in Carmen; he has appeared with Indianapolis Opera, Pensacola Opera, Florentine Opera, Opera Ouvert, and Opera Western Reserve. Mr. C. received his Master’s in performance under the tutelage of Dr. Kathleen Maurer. This Season he will be joining The Belle Ensemble as the role of Uberto in La Serva Padrona, joining the Little Traverse Civic Theatre in The Christmas Schooner, and performing the role of Arasamene in the World Premiere of Serse by Isaac Wittenberg. As an educator, clinician, and vocal coach he has worked in Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Florida, as well as toured Europe with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp Youth Choir. He is an active member in the National Association of Teachers of Singing(NATS), and a regular adjudicator in the Great Lakes Region. I believe that all people are singers; singing and music are the most natural human forms. Every student is unique, and every voice is as unique as a fingerprint; that is why every student and lesson is approached with the individual needs and goals in mind.
