I have been a professional musician for 15+ years and have been teaching for just over 7! My passion is helping students of all ages find empowerment and confidence through music. Using holistic and foundation-building techniques, you can find a powerful and effortless sound in whatever style you want to sing! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies and Vocal Performance from Ithaca College. I specialize in teaching jazz, classical, and musical theater, but I'm happy to work in any genre! My teaching methods are grounded in body awareness and voice science. My goal as a teacher is to help my students utilize and respect their entire body as their instrument and use this skill to build strong technique. Try a lesson today and start finding your voice!
About Ginny M.

I am a Vocalist, Pianist, and Educator based in Northern Virginia. I primarily work as a voice teacher, but you can find me performing as a pianist and vocalist, playing/singing in bands such as MaMa and Neo Project, music directing local community theater productions, working as a music director in New York City, recording piano backing tracks, and occasionally even voice acting! I am well-versed in jazz and classical styles, many world music styles, musical theater repertoire, pop, R& B, and beyond. I have an experiential background in Feldenkrais (a movement-based bodywork) and I incorporate that into my work as a performer and an educator. I spent 3 years as a member of the Voice Faculty at Flight Voice Studio in Ithaca, NY where I taught private lessons, workshops, and group voice class. I am currently on the Voice Faculty at Expressions Music Academy in Herndon, VA and Annandale, VA and I run a small online studio. My passion is helping students of all ages find empowerment and confidence through music.
