I have been a professional educator for over 30 years, having just retired from 16 years public school teaching. I graduated from Edinburgh University, Scotland with a degree in Modern Languages, & from the Catholic University of America with a PhD in Comparative Literature. Teaching is my one great passion - I want to share my love of languages and literature with learners of all ages. I have taught elementary school children, high school students, college students and adults - including Franciscan brothers in a monastery! My other interests include music, reading, gardening and travel. This year I hope to visit Portugal for the first time, and to also learn how to draw and do watercolors. I am active in our local community including volunteering and mentoring in various organizations.
