    About George O.

    George Olesky is a New York-based actor and writer. He recently starred in "Delivery Girl" which premiered Sundance 2019 in the Indie Episodics program. From 2010 to 2013 he was a writer's assistant to screenwriter Jonathan Roberts. With Emmy Award winning composer Alex Wurman, George adapted selections of Robert Frost's poetry into a play for young audiences. Other recent acting credits include Netflix's "Halston," Apple TV's "Little Voice," CBS'," "Madam Secretary" & "Blue Bloods;" the title role in "Shakespeare in Love" at SpeakEasy Stage in Boston and "City Girls & Desperadoes" opposite Austin Pendleton. Dedicated to new play development, he has worked with emerging writers Kenneth Lin, Dalia Taha, Kathryn Walat, and Chana Porter. He is grateful to have acted under the direction of Craig Lucas, Karen Moncrieff, Jackson Gay, Will Pomerantz, and Scott Edmiston, respectively. George holds an MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep and BA from Hampshire College. He was a 2015 recipient of The Brown in the World Grant for seven weeks of researching theater and performance in Berlin. He was a 2018 & 2019 Actor in Residence at Media Workshops + College under the mentorship of Karen Moncrieff and Allen Coulter. George is a member of Jon Shear's Take Action Workshop, an advanced, on-camera intensive which draws upon a selective roster of working actors, directors and writers in New York City.
