I have a lot of experience in music. I graduated from Peabody Conservatory with a BM in Music ED and I have a Master's from Queens College. I have toured internationally as a jazz pianist since 1992, and I have recorded many albums as a leader and an accompanist. I have been teaching at Portland State University since 2011 and I am an Associate Professor. I like teaching students of all different levels and backgrounds. I'm extremely patient and I love to see how students progress.

Hi, I'm George Colligan! I'm from Columbia, MD. I lived in NYC for 15 years as a freelance jazz artist. I have been living in Portland, OR for 9 years. I am an Associate Professor at Portland State University. I love to teach students of all levels. Music is my life and I believe in sharing information. Music and Art are noble and valuable pursuits. I want to help students achieve their goals. I'm open to all styles of music. I also have insight in to how to avoid injury and how to play pain free, which is a common issue among all instrumentalists. I look forward to teaching you!
