In my flute class, I hope to establish a partnership with my students, not as an authority, but as a facilitator to motivate their passion for music. By empowering students, I hope they will realize how capable they are, and be guided by passion and love for diverse kinds of music.
Students will self-evaluate their song quality, rhythm and articulation using rubric and recording.
Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. And the music genres are depended on students' music taste.

I majored in music education/ flute performance in my undergraduate and got a music education master degree at BU. I'm an easy-going person, and also interested in doing yoga, watch movies.
My teaching philosophy is a student-centered teaching model. In my class, I, as a facilitator, but authority, hope to build a bridge that is connecting both teacher's music world and students' music world! Now, Let's have fun!
We will learn basic breath technique, fingering, and easy songs through playing the games. Students will able to self-evaluate their song quality, rhythm, and articulation through the rubric and recording.
I taught private flute class for beginning/intermediate flute students and prepared flute performance exam for them.
