Hello potential student or parent! I'm so excited that you've reached my profile for quite a few reasons: I am a full time musician with a BA in General Music with a focus in percussion and a secondary in piano from Brevard College. I've been an elementary general music teacher, taught high school percussion sections, worked with children with special needs, played in a variety of orchestras, jazz bands, corporate bands, cover bands, and i've logged over 2,000 hours of studio recording time. I'm also in the process of starting my Masters of Percussion Performance very soon. To me, it's equally as important that I learn with and from my students to assist me in becoming the absolute best teacher I can be regardless of age or learning needs. On top of all of that, I don't think anyone should have to break the bank to learn an instrument. My rates are very fair and i'm not just here to collect a check. Instead I want to create a world full of versatile musicians to develop skills that can translate to having good grades, finding a good job, and learning how to communicate in the real world. Music can do that with the right instruction. It's my goal to serve my students in a way that they can not only be more confident behind an instrument, but to truly love the craft I've dedicated my life to.
