Java with Garrett B.

I am currently a high school senior who has been teaching and tutoring math and computer science for the past 3 years. I often found myself taking charge in my classes when the teacher did an inadequate job of explaining topics, it is for this reason that I decided to pursue teaching and tutoring. I have extensive personal experience with computer science and programming, as well as a fair amount of personal tutoring experience as well as landing a job as a teaching assistant for the 2019 All Star Code Summer intensive (A position usually only offered to college students, but that I was able to land due to my outstanding application). Most of what I know is self-taught, although I do have 3 years of computer science classes (2 of them being college level) and a 5-week coding boot camp under my belt. I have also run middle school robotics teams, teaching them how to program robots as well as keeping them focused and under control, so I am very comfortable working with children. Being a current high school student, I can also understand how students grasp concepts (Not someone who has been in a profession for 20 years that will leave you more confused after answering a question then when you asked it). I have a lot of experience providing clear and concise answers to questions, as well as in-depth explanations and examples to new topics, allowing students to fully understand what I am teaching them I have taught Java, HTML JS and CSS (Web development), and Python, but am comfortable teaching introductory C++ and Lua
