I'm an artist, educator, and scholar who uses a methodological, student-centered approach to help you achieve your goals. I teach music lessons and provide reading and writing tutoring to beginning and intermediate students. Here's some more specific info on each one of my services: ___________________________________________________________________________ Music Lessons: After completing my undergraduate education at Santa Clara University, where I majored in flute and vocal performance, I freelanced as a music professional in the San Francisco Bay Area for three years. I then relocated to the University of Notre Dame, where I received a Master of Sacred Music degree in voice and directed a children's choir in the Notre Dame Children's Choir. I also taught percussion and competed as a marching percussionist for six years, winning the award of "Best Percussionist" with the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets and leading my groups to successful competitions during the fall marching season and the winter indoor percussion season. I'm currently a freelancing vocal professional in Baltimore. At Santa Clara University, where I received a B.A. in English, I was vice-president of the English Honor Society and tutored undergraduate students for first-year composition courses. At San Francisco State University I earned my M.A. degree in English Composition, a degree which focuses on the teaching of college-level reading and writing. There I served as a tutor for the English Tutoring Center and the Student Success Program.
