I am Gabriel Palansc, Brazilian and I have been teaching piano and accompanying singers for 8 years. I’ve got my Bachelor degree in Piano Perfomance from Belas Artes - Curitiba and my double masters degree in Collaborative and Solo Piano Perfomance from University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have taught students from all different ages and styles. My methodology includes Music Theory, History of Music and Body relaxing exercises, which are extremely important to prevent muscle injuries, such as tendinites, the most common problem in pianists. My music approach is different for every student, therefore you can choose the styles you want to learn, such as Classical, Pop, Rock, Jazz and also you are more than welcome to blend these. During the class, you will he encouraged to do some sight-reading exercises and take notes in class about strategies of studying. I have been a classical pianist for 17 years, however I’m very eclectic, which is a quality we need to embrace in order to become a musician.
