Teaching since:

I am a language teacher with over twenty years experience teaching at the high school level. I have also taught in community school and college during evenings. I taught Spanish in both high school and community school; I also taught English as a Second Language in community school and college. In addition, I have taught both Spanish and English to dozens of private students.

I believe that teaching a language should involve a comprehensive approach that includes all phases and disciplines of the language, from conversation, correct pronunciation, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, syntax and culture.

My philosophy of teaching is that learning should be fun, not tedious. I use music, popular magazines, stories, poetry, conversation about current events, and various other means to help the student develop the skills he/she needs to learn and master the language.

My background, education, and experience qualify me to be a highly effective teacher. i look forward to meeting you and helping you to learn and speak Spanish.

I am a native speaker of Spanish and have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Spanish and a minor in French from Angelo State University in Texas.

The best teacher ever. Professor Meruelo is very experienced knowledgeable, intelligent person. He knows how to explain material in easy way and care about his students.
I learned English at Broward Community College with Prof. Meruelo. After this class I was able to pass TOEFL with the appropriate score, that I couldn't get before.
I'd give 7 stars )
