Learning to spell words in the English language can be a trying proposition.  The way spelling is taught in schools is not conducive as a whole.  Educators teach spelling using a whole slew of techniques which include learning patterns, sounds, and rules.  While most of these techniques have their value in helping students learn to spell it's a lot to process and remember.  When a student is asked to spell a word most use some sort of sounding out or phonic technique. This phonics approach encourages a mental strategy that doesn’t work because 40% of the words in English don’t look like they sound.   Instead of using their ears as their primary sense they should be using their eyes!  Take my class and I will teach you the Spellivision method for learning how to spell. I've talked to hundreds of students and I have found that all good spellers use some form of this method without consciously knowing it and poor spellers use no part of this method. This Spellivision class will teach you the step-by-step method in a fun and easy to learn way.  This method has proven to help students with ADHD and dyslexia learn to spell as well because it teaches them to use their eyes instead of their ears as their primary source. I've been teaching, training and coaching kids and adults for the last 15 years.  My teaching experience has been at the elementary level but I have also taught special program classes at the junior high and high school level.  My training experience is with kids and adults on computer related apps and hardware.  My coaching experience is with kids and young adults in hockey, baseball and soccer.
