As a composer, I have composed music for Fox News, Fox Sports, MTV, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, the Weather Channel and MUZAK. His credits also include extensive DVD, Web, and Multimedia based productions. I've also composed and produced several acclaimed children's albums, four of them receiving the prestigious Parent's Choice award. More importantly I have been teaching private lessons for a number of years. My experience in the music industry gives me the tools to teach children what they WANT to learn, in addition to being able to give them a firm foundation in all of the elements that it takes to become a complete musician. *** Lesson Details *** I work out of several series of books geared towards different approaches to technique, theory, ear training and artistry, tailoring my teaching approach to the individual student, based on their age, personality, natural ability and commitment to practicing. I want the students to be inspired to practice, but never through intimidation. It's important to me that a student has no holes in their playing. I tend to zero in on any weak points and find engaging ways to help students to improve in those areas. *** Studio Equipment *** Finished garage recording studio w/ baby grand and seating for parents *** Travel Equipment *** For piano lessons i expect the student to have a working keyboard or piano.
