Mandarin Chinese with Frank H.

I am an instrument and travel enthusiast! I graduated from Kunming University in Yunnan China with degree in Business English. Right after graduation, I moved abroad and began working in corporate translation so I could see different parts of the world. Whenever I travel, I love to try new foods, see new sights, and hear new music. It has been such a joy getting to see different people’s lifestyles through travel. After working abroad for a few years, I moved back home to China and worked with an international boutique hotel founded by two Americans catering to both foreign tourists and domestic tourists. While there, one of my favorite activities was to learn some language from the guests’ countries. This hotel was where I eventually met my wife, an English language teacher from the USA. After getting married, we eventually moved back to the US together. Since then, we have both been teaching language. Being a household of language teachers means we are constantly researching and finding unique ways to introduce and learn languages. We are always practicing new languages together as we believe the best way to hone your teaching abilities is to constantly be a student yourself. This helps us to keep each of our student’s in perspective as we, too, are non-native speakers of other languages. I can’t wait to share this language journey together with you!
