Very satisfied with Frances. Very important setup to having the correct viola support pieces figured out! Much appreciated and needed step.

What A Blessing! Frances has been my daughter's private violin instructor for a couple years now. She comes weekly to our house for lessons ranging from 30 min-1 hr depending on the material that my daughter is needing to practice. Having studied Music in college, Frances offers a very well-rounded approach to her lessons, including both reading/playing music. Students are expected to practice daily and complete assigned tasks. She is a fantastic Encourager for students of all ages!

My daughter has just completed her 1st year with Frances Witherspoon. I am amazed at how much progress she has made. More importantly, I have witnessed how patiently she works with my daughter, who can be quite inquisitive, asking numerous questions during sessions. Also, my daughter has a tendency of declaring defeat when she encounters challenges, but Frances encouragingly reassures her that she can perform the piece and pushes hers to excel, while acknowledging her frustration. In each case where my daughter wanted to give up, she was playing portions of the tune successfully by the end of the lesson. Frances is great with kids and very talented also. My daughter looks forward to her viola lessons and her grades are great in her orchestra class. I don't typically fill out these reviews, but as a parent I want the right person working with my child, so I am paying it forward by letting other parents know that she is a great instructor. Superb student- centered service with a smile.
