    Jan, 2014

Josef Silny & Associates, Inc., International Education Consultants

The following is a response to Mr. G. Lanz's request for a document-by-document evaluation of his academic credentials from Cuba and Spain. This evaluation was prepared based on official original academic credentials. Mr. G. Lanz attended the Higher Institute of Art from 2001 to 2005. Founded in 1976, the Higher Institute of Art is a recognized (accredited) public institution of higher education in Cuba. In order to be accepted into the Higher Institute of Art, applicants must have the high school diploma (bachiller). This is the equivalent of graduation from a college preparatory program at an accredited high school in the United States. Mr. G. Lanz was awarded the degree of Licentiate in Music, Specialty: Percussion by the Higher Institute or Art on July 14, 2005. This is the equivalent of the U.S degree of Bachelor of Music with a major in Percussion earned at a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the United States. Mr. G. Lanz continued his study at Liceu Conservatory from 2006 to 2007. Founded in 1837, Liceu Conservatory is a recognized (accredited) conservatory of music in Spain which offers secondary and post-secondary level programs. Mr. G. Lanz completed the 288-hour Advanced Training program in the Specialty: Classical Music- Percussion and was awarded the Diploma of Completion by Liceu Conservatory on June 17, 2007. This is the equivalent of completion of 288 hours of non-credit bearing study in a continuing education program in Percussion at a Conservatory of Music in the United States. In summary, it is the judgment of Josef Silny & Associates, Inc., International Education Consultants, that Mr. G. Lanz has the equivalent of the U.S degree of the Bachelor of Music with a major in Percussion earned at a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the United States.
