About Flip P.
I love sharing my knowledge of music with students. I teach guitar, ukulele, and tenor banjo. My lessons combine technique and theory with learning songs. I believe that playing real songs motivates students to continue and makes playing music fun. Let me help you get started on your musical journey or upgrade your skills!
I’m a professional guitarist, singer, banjo player, and music educator. My passion is music, especially stringed instruments. I have a Master's degree in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University. I’ve served on the faculties of Rutgers, Seton Hall University, and County Morris of Morris in addition to teaching hundreds of students privately. I’ve performed at many events, from small restaurants and clubs to festivals and large catered corporate parties. I have experience playing and teaching Jazz, Folk, Rock, Classical, and other styles.
