Music has been my greatest passion all my life. I have played the violin since I was eight years old, continued my music education in a special music high school, and eventually earned all my college degrees in violin performance (an Artist Diploma (5 yrs.) from the Franz Liszt Academy (conservatory) of Music in Budapest, Hungary, a Master's Degree from SIU-Carbondale, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison). I've been teaching for 22 years, of which 18 years also as a full-time university professor. Besides teaching, I've been active as a chamber musician (mainly piano trio and string quartet) as well as in orchestral playing (with more than a dozen professional orchestras, including the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Spokane Symphony, Wichita Grand Opera, and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra).+ Read More

Ferenc is simply the best teacher and performer we've come across. Both of our kids are currently working with him, and they are progressing very well. His fees are reasonable for the expertise my kids are getting. Highly recommended!
I am very happy to have found Ferenc. He is very nice, friendly and helpful. He really helped me with my goals. I really recommend.
I highly recommend Ferenc to anyone looking for a violin instructor in the Las Vegas area. I'm an adult beginner who has always wanted to learn the violin. I spent quite a while looking into teachers before I decided on Ferenc and I'm very happy with my choice. He's a very good teacher. I leave each lesson playing (at least a little) better than I did when I walked in. Ferenc knows his craft and he's very good at pointing out both your strengths and areas that could use improvement. He always gives me concrete things I can work on in between lessons and they help a lot. His instruction has been invaluable and I'm certain I wouldn't be progressing at the same rate if I had tried to learn on my own or even with a less skilled teacher. I look forward to continuing to work on my skills with his help.+ Read More
We have three kids taking lessons (two violin and one cello), one of which transferred from another teacher. The transition from the other teacher to Ferenc was extremely smooth as she was able to pick up right where she left off. The other two started lessons with Ferenc and have progressed well. We are extremely pleased with his instruction.+ Read More
I am currently pursuing my BM at a conservatory, and much of that is due to having studied with Dr. Cseszko for many years. He was very patient with me, but pushed me both technically and musically. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has the chance to study with him!+ Read More
I am a Junior in College and have been playing violin for 9 years. Dr. Cseszko is the private instructor I have had. He is encouraging and articulate. He is an incredible violinist and is able to play the pieces that the student is playing in lesson by memory a lot of times. His ability to play along with his students on violin and piano is very helpful. He is a great instructor and has helped me grow so much as a person as well as a violinist.+ Read More
I started taking lessons with Dr. Cseszko not long after starting college. As a non-music major, I thought it would be fun to learn violin, and while I had musical experience, I had no experience with string instruments. Dr. Cseszko was very patient and encouraging as I learned my way around the violin. He was excellent at pointing out things that I was doing well, as well as things that I could improve on. He gave very clear explanations of proper technique and ways to refine my skills. I took lessons with Dr. Cseszko for over two years, and within a few semesters, I was confident enough in my abilities to play for orchestra at my university. I would highly recommend Dr. Cseszko to all students, whether they are a beginner, an already seasoned player, or somewhere in between.+ Read More
Dr Cseszko is the kindest violin teacher I have ever had. But even while kind, he manages to bring the best out in you and keep you working hard. He is also an absolutely exceptional violinist and has taught me many new techniques and has furthered my abilities greatly for the past three years I’ve had lessons with him. I have had six violin teachers and Dr Cseszko is no doubt my favorite of them all!+ Read More
We feel so lucky to have Ferenc available to teach our 8 year old! He's an immensely talented musician and is able to translate his knowledge and enthusiasm into terms a child appreciates and absorbs. He is very encouraging and positive and such a joy to have in our child's life.+ Read More
Our experience has been a good one! Learning some new technics that I have not learned and being challenged in areas that were introduced from pervious tutors but not known well.
Ferenc has taught my 9 year old son Ken for a year and a half, and my husband and I are very pleased with the results. Our son is high energy, but Ferenc has the patience of a saint and works with him carefully and calmly. Ken's focus and attention span have grown under Ferenc's instruction, and it's been a joy watching the music develop!
Ferenc was also able to help me develop vibrato, something my original violin instructor was unable to achieve during the 7 years I had instruction.
We highly recommend him.
Not only is Ferenc an amazing artist and performer, he’s a terrific instructor as well. He is really good about describing proper technique. I was twelve when I began with the violin, and he’s very patient and encouraging, plus he makes playing a lot of fun. You will be hard pressed to find a teacher with more talent and experience!+ Read More
I have been with Dr. Cseszko for six years. He is extremely knowledgeable and has an exemplary teaching style. While he has high expectations for his students, he clearly points out what your strengths are and what you can do to improve your playing, without creating too much pressure. Always teaching with a nice, patient, and enthusiastic attitude, he is very understanding and cares a lot about his students. I highly recommend taking lessons with Dr. Cseszko.+ Read More
