"Kids on Stage" at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center

Worked with children on their class programs, Kids on Stage at Lancaster Performing Arts Center and yearly Talent Shows.   I wrote a 3 verse song for the retiring principal Dr. Ann Hurd and 4 classes sang it while I played the piano.  We dressed her up as the queen, complete with knights, a royal procession.   It was great!

Music Teacher

Played the piano for the 9:30 mass.  Accompanied the choir in the service and special performances.

Played the piano for Christian, Contemporary and Catholic services.

I teach with an emphasis on learning and understanding the chords of music.  Usually the lesson books are used for techniques and proper playing, but the real joy comes from playing the music that each student loves.  I'm good at finding that music for every student even if I have to write the notes out myself.   I want them to play what inspires them and develop a love of music for life.

I am very patient and generous with my time.   I can relate well to young children through seniors.

Faye is very patient and extremely helpful.

I enjoy learning with Faye. She is patient and sends lots of great resources after each lesson. I thought virtual lessons would be difficult but I find them to be very helpful and engaging.

I enjoyed my first lesson with Faye today. I needed the encouragement she gave and I started to feel more confident as I went further into the lesson. 
Faye made me feel relaxed and wanting to master the particular chords before I move ahead. Her tips were wonderful as she is very knowledgeable.

Faye is patient, kind, and fun! From our first lesson I knew I found a great fit. I’m 34 taking up the piano for the first time- I had not a clue what I was doing. Now I’m playing all sorts of songs and it’s only been three weeks! 

Her style is supportive and encouraging. She allows you the space to explore, and knows how to direct you through the lesson books and she also provides supporting material. I’m excited to continue this journey with Faye (and her amazing laugh).
