    Summer is around the corner! Let’s get a great start to it! Born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, French is my native language. I'm specialized in adult teaching and critical care nursing, I worked more than 20 years with adults, children and families in Switzerland and in Montreal, Canada. Finding the best way to learn depending on who you are and what goals you have is one of my specialties. I like to provide a dynamic, fun and customized learning environment to my students. Having learnt multiple second languages, such as English, Italian, Spanish and German, I’m myself very aware of the process of learning a new language. I can provide vocabulary, grammar, verbs, conversation as well as cultural aspects from different French speaking countries, such as Switzerland, France, Quebec and Belgium. I moved to Richmond five years ago, bringing many French books and ressources that could be used during lessons.

    I’m a French native speaker from Switzerland, teaching French to adults and college students. I provide tailored lessons in a positive environment to gain confidence and to enjoy learning and speaking French. Six years ago, I moved from Geneva for my husband’s work. He’s a physician and a researcher at Yale's children hospital. I’m the mother of two children, a freshman at UNH and a senior at Virginia Tech. We are a native French speaking family. I have worked since 1999 as a pediatric critical care nurse and as a teacher/instructor for critical care and neonatal nurses education programs. I have Swiss degrees in nursing, pediatric, critical care and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in adult pedagogy/teaching, as well as an up to date RN licence in the US. I love to teach and share my knowledge of the French language and culture. To achieve your goals, I use my pedagogical background and a good sense of humour. I enjoy understanding my students' needs and strengths to make sure they get the best learning experience, in a friendly and non-judgmental environment.
