My mission is to facilitate human flourishing through customized music education.
In the first lesson, students and I co-create artist's statements. Then, with a pencil, a manuscript notebook, and a piano, we combine ingredients—rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, etc.—into original compositions. And since I believe that piano lessons must be about more than just the piano, I incorporate insights from related fields, such as visual art and psychology, to enrich lessons in ways that are relevant to students' own interests, aptitudes, aspirations, and gifts.
I received a Bachelor's from Dartmouth in psychology and am completing a Master's in jazz & contemporary music at Longy School of Music in Cambridge.
Mindful that there are many options for piano instruction, please contact me with any questions you may have!

Helped patients with personality disorders in an intensive program that draws from evidence-based therapy models in an environment conducive to cultivating effective interpersonal skills.
