Eva Skanse is the former principal flute of the Queen City Chamber Orchestra of Cincinnati, principal of Seven Hills Baroque Orchestra, founding member of both the Cincinnati Camerata Baroque and the Aurora Ensemble, and a leader in the New Hampshire music non-profit Silentwoods Collective. With two masters of music degrees (one in flute and one in historical performance) she is equally at home teaching modern flute/piccolo and historical flutes. A former student of the acclaimed composer Brian Nabors, Eva also loves teaching composition students. With a teaching style that focuses on individualism, Eva's goal with each student is to develop their strengths and support their weaknesses with the traditional mentor-apprentice relationship that celebrates the personal needs of the pupil.
